Signal Shark – Seven Senses for Signals

Sight

Signal Shark can detect lowest signals even in the presence of very strong signals. It does this by combining high sensitivity with a wide intermodulation-free dynamic range. DANL (preamp. off/on):-160 dBm / Hz / -167 dBm / Hz

Smell

The automatic DF (ADF) antenna enables SignalShark to determine the direction of a detected signal in less than a second. ADF Mobile: 200 MHz – 2.7 GHz ADF Wideband: 10 MHz – 8 GHz

Hearing

The high sensitivity to signals The high sensitivity to signals means SignalShark can locate and demodulate even signals that originate from a long way away. Two DDCs enables simultaneous measurement and demodulation.

Feeling

The lightest “touch”  on a previously set trigger mask is enough for Signal Shark to record the corresponding signal. A scan rate of up to 40 GHz / s ensures fast detection even for large frequency bands.

Taste

Signal Shark analyzes and evaluates a recorded signal based on various classification criteria, helping the user to decide how relevant the signal is.

Pressure

The 40 MHz real-time measurement enables gapless, reliable detection of the slightest  changes in the RF spectrum with the aid of the  Spectrogram view.

Reception

The continuous real time Persistence The continuous real-time Persistence view of Signal Shark displays every change in the signal with pixel accuracy. Even hidden signals can be detected. 100 % POI signals > 3.125 μsec.

SeeWave® Interference Locating System

PCTEL’S See Wave is the comprehensive tool for a single user to accurately detect the interfering frequency and locate its exact source. See Wave utilizes PCTEL!s leading edge See Gull® scanning receiver. A host platform links the scanner to both a direction-finding antenna and a touchscreen tablet. The platform can be held comfortably in one hand whi le the user operates See Wave’s intuitive software application. Scanning receiver, host platform, antenna, and tablet-optimized software combine to create an economical, easy-to-use, and highly effective interference hunting system. It uses advanced spectrum analysis and proprietary algorithms to both identify harmful interference and locate its source. This saves effort, time, and cost for mobile operators working to eliminate interference and maximize network Quality of Service.

SeeWave® Interference Locating System

Benefits

  • Enhance network performance by identifying numerous types of interfering signals with advanced spectrum analysis measurements
  • Locate the exact position of interference through triangulation algorithms
  • Identify problems efficiently by collecting and analyzing results in a variety of playback options
  • Clear uplink and downlink channels on select bands and spectrum ranges for spectrum re-farming using dual scans
  • Reduce user fatigue with ergonomic design, using one hand to hold the unit and the other to operate the tablet
